Download / Install - Flashcards PC Input

Flashcards PC Input is a web app for entering flashcards and notes on a PC, then creating a ZIP file for the Android app. Open it in Chrome or Edge and add it to your PC as an app.

Download / Install on this page does not mean downloading and running an EXE file. Open the app from the button below, then add it to your PC using the PWA features in Chrome or Edge.

About this app

Flashcards PC Input is provided as a PWA. It avoids installer warnings while letting you open the app safely from your browser and, when needed, launch it from the Start menu or desktop. The data you create can be saved as a ZIP file for import into the Android app.

Open the app

First, open the PC input app from the button below. Use Chrome or Edge on your PC.

Open Flashcards PC Input

Add it to your PC as an app

Recommended method
  1. Press "Open Flashcards PC Input" above.
  2. Press the "Add app to this PC" button at the top of the app screen.
  3. Press "Install" in the Chrome or Edge confirmation dialog.
  4. Next time, open it from the Start menu, taskbar, or the created shortcut.

Create a desktop shortcut

Chrome: create a shortcut for a website you use often

Create a dedicated desktop icon that opens your favorite site directly.

  1. Open the web page you want to create a shortcut for.
  2. Click the "︙" more icon in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select "Cast, save, and share" > "Create shortcut".
  4. Enter a name and click "Create" to add it to the desktop.
Edge: create a web page shortcut, the simplest method
  1. Open the web page you want to create a shortcut for.
  2. Click and hold the lock mark or site icon on the left side of the address bar.
  3. Drag it to the desktop and release it to create the shortcut.

Add it to bookmarks

If you do not create a shortcut, press Ctrl + D after opening the app to add it to your browser bookmarks, so you can find it again easily.

Updates

When a new version is available, Flashcards PC Input shows an update notice after it opens. The notice includes the update details and the buttons "Update now" and "Later".

Pressing "Update now" saves the current input first, checks for a Service Worker update, switches the cache, and reloads the screen to apply the latest version. Pressing "Later" closes the notice for now and lets you continue working.

Protecting your input

Before an update is applied, the app runs a save step so current input is not lost. On a shared PC or a device used by other people, be careful with data saved in the browser.
